PlayYourRole 2021 Warung Mbak Merry

Life is difficult for trans people, especially in Indonesia. The trans community are often the unseen and unaided.

17th of August was the highlight moment for Merry to finally be recognized, seen, and appreciated. Warung Merry now has a new table, chair, logo, and a new spirit.

For Merry and the trans community in West Surabaya, #PlayYourRole does not only marks a fresh start for her food stall, but it translates to that act of kindness, share, and humanity.
